Valamis Recognized as One of the Best Workplaces in Europe

Valamis has been recognized by the Great Place to Work’s Best Workplaces in Europe listing released yesterday. This year Valamis ranked as 30th on the Small and Medium Workplaces in Europe in 2015 list. Last year Valamis was ranked as 22nd. This year over 2 300 companies from 19 European countries participated in the research.

Valamis is focused e.g. on system development, digital solutions, portal solutions and eLearning solutions. The company has participated in the listing in order to receive detailed information regarding their employee satisfaction as well as about themselves as an employer. The research guarantees, that all the company employees are given an opportunity to be heard. Furthermore, the research helps the company to develop itself further in order to become a better employer.

“We are extremely happy and proud of our ranking, which shows that we have been able to offer exactly what we wanted – a great place to work, where our employees genuinely enjoy working at”, tells the Chief Human Resource Officer Maria Vihtkari from Valamis.

Earlier this year Valamis ranked as 4th in the Great Place to Work Finland listing.

“A lot has been going on during the past year and we have also started to focus more on the internationalization. Even though we have big common goals on the background, we still always look at the things from the individual’s point of view and focus on making sure that everyone here feels good about working at Valamis”, Vihtkari continues.

What is it then that makes Valamis one of the best workplaces in Europe?

“In my opinion it is the good atmosphere plus the great coworkers, which makes Valamis such a great place to work. It is simply nice to wake up to the work in the mornings, when you know you get to work here”, explains Saara Pajunpää, who is working as a Project Manager at Valamis.

The Best Workplaces in Europe listing has been published for over a decade now. The country-specific research evaluates how the employees experience their workplace and how the organization’s management practices are done. Special attention is paid on the employee perceptions of the levels of trust, pride, and camaraderie in their workplaces. Also, the management’s point of view is considered through Culture Audit questionnaire, which provides insight into the policies, programs, and practices that companies have put in place which promote great workplace cultures.

We thank everyone at Valamis for making our workplace one of the Best Workplaces in Europe!
