Arcusys Oy, a forerunner in the digital transformation of learning, acquired the entire stock of OlapCon Oy, a pioneer in predictive analytics. The combined competencies of the two companies will allow Arcusys to offer a wider range of services than it does today. Thanks to the enhanced analytical capabilities and Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Arcusys' customers will be better equipped for business forecasting and planning.
Joensuu, Finland, October 31, 2016. Two companies from Joensuu – software company Arcusys Oy and analytics expert OlapCon Oy – announced their merger plans. After the transaction, all the employees at OlapCon will move to Arcusys, making the total number of staff at Arcusys over 130. OlapCon was founded in 2006, and its areas of expertise include business forecasting, profitability analytics and metrics for process efficiency.
Business intelligence, analytics and forecasting play a major role in the digital transformation. Arcusys believes that OlapCon's robust expertise in business intelligence, combined with the Valamis – Learning Experience Platform developed by Arcusys, will yield significant benefits for the company's customers.
In the past 12 months, Arcusys has invested heavily in growing its business and entering the international market with its learning solutions and organizational development services. Arcusys CEO Jussi Hurskainen is happy about the new services made possible by the merger:

The acquisition will make Mika Hurskainen, the Founder of the OlapCon, a shareholder in Arcusys.
